Sri Lanka seeks public feedback on draft standard specification for frozen treats and drinks

On 21st April 2023, Sri Lanka Standards Institution issued Draft Sri Lanka Standard SPECIFICATION FOR FROZEN CONFECTIONS/ FROZEN DESSERTS AND FREEZE DRINKS (FIRST REVISION) for public comment. According to the draft, for freeze drinks and frozen confections / frozen desserts, permitted sweeteners are:

sorbitol/ sorbitol syrup

Mannitol

Isomalt

Maltitol/ maltitol syrup

Lactitol

Xylitol

Erythritol

Neotame

Sucralose

Steviol glycoside
