Breaking: China expands the permitted use of sodium cyclamate in food

The National Health Commission of the PRC has announced an extension of the permitted use of sodium cyclamate as a food additive. The updated regulations now allow for its use in baked food filling and surface coating batter (limited to baked food filling) and puffed food, with a maximum permitted concentration of 2 g/kg and 0.2 g/kg, respectively.
